You know when you are going to stick your hand into something that has a lot of debris around it to grab something, and you keep pulling back, and putting your hand in until you’re able to get through the debris and get what you want?I feel like I’m so close right now to turning on the afterburners and getting my game into full gear again. I just keep testing the waters, and will back off with what I feel comfortable with and reassess and then learn the lesson for next time.Last night I was out to dinner with my family, and we sat down at a table next to a mixed set of one guy and maybe 8 chicks. I sat myself perfectly where talking to the table would let me look over my shoulder. Also, there was an empty chair right behind me, which I should have totally used to my advantage.I turn to the guy, and say, “hey man, what are you eating?” because they were already eating. He told me whatever, not important. And then I ejected.
Looking back, I know now that after opening the guy up, which by the way he was TOTALLY receptive to me, and my family told me later that I came off totally natural turning to the guy, so I could’ve transitioned into the set VERY easily… anyways, I should’ve hopped into the seat behind me and then said something along the lines, “look, I only have a second because I have to get back to my family, but seriously, you know you read these menus (we were in a pan-asian restaurant so the names meant absolutely nothing to me) and you have no idea what the food is.” And then gone around the table seeing what they were having, throwing a neg from a cute girl, feigned walking away, and then throw out another FTC and an opinion opener… probably the jealous girlfriend one would’ve worked.
I hope another chance opens like that soon, I think that I would be able to work the table perfectly.

Things I need to get together:
1. Bag of tricks… photos, notebook, cologne, etc, etc.
2. Prewritten DHVs. I find myself blanking when I have to think about them, so having them done on paper already will help.
3. Keep studying Mystery Method, and even write out a whole A1-A3 set to just have SOMETHING down on paper.
